Our Mission

Her Stories பெண்ணெழுத்து exists because Tamil women's voices should appear not merely as subjects, but as authors, critics and thinkers. We publish independent Tamil feminist writing — long-form essays, cultural criticism, poetry, and lived experience — in Tamil and English.

We are published at herstories.in and are an initiative of Her Stories / herstories.xyz.

Editorial Independence

Her Stories பெண்ணெழுத்து is editorially independent. Our editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team and are not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or any external commercial interests.

We are reader-supported. Subscription revenue funds our editorial work. We do not accept sponsored content, native advertising, or paid editorial placements.

Editorial Standards

• —Accuracy: We verify facts before publication. Corrections are published promptly and transparently.
• —Fairness: We represent subjects fairly and give individuals the opportunity to respond to criticism where appropriate.
• —Independence: Our editorial positions are our own. We are not affiliated with any political party, government body, or commercial organisation.
• —Transparency: We disclose conflicts of interest. Writers declare any relevant relationships to the editorial team.
• —Accountability: We are accountable to our readers and our community. We welcome feedback and corrections.

What We Publish

We publish original writing by Tamil women and Tamil feminist voices. Our content includes:

We take accuracy seriously. If you believe we have made an error, please contact us at hello@herstories.xyz. Significant corrections are noted at the top of the relevant article with the date of correction.

Submissions

We welcome pitches from Tamil women writers and Tamil feminist voices. Please read our Contributor Guidelines before submitting. Pitches are reviewed within 2–3 weeks.
